Indiana POAC Newsletter
Indiana POAC has started the year with two shows, breaking only for the National POAC Congress in Tulsa, OK! The May show was held the first weekend in Edinburg, IN and served as an early warm up for the Eastern Classic. Our June show in Bluffton, IN was sandwiched by two competing regional shows, but still had a very competitive turn out. Thank you to Scott and Charlene Shingleton for hosting the show in May and the families of Z Animal Crossing and the Eckert’s for hosting our June show. We appreciate all the work you do.
Our next show in Franklin, Indiana will again include all new nationally pointed classes: novice walk-trot, novice three gate classes and lead line competitions in both speed and showmanship, plus all 19 and over classes. If points are what you are looking for or just a fun time with friendly competition, please have your stall reservations to Charlene Shingleton at email@example.com by August 15th. You can count on our youth organized dinner Saturday night!
Indiana once again had the opportunity to work with the National POAC to host the Eastern Classic in Cloverdale, IN during the Memorial Day weekend. Congratulations to all of the high point winners and everyone who competed in both the promo show and Classic. You can check out all of the high point winners on our website at www.inpoac.com.
Hello Everyone! Show season is in full swing and it’s that time of year when we are spending extra time with our ponies getting ready for county fairs, regionals and the National Congress. I hope everyone is doing well. Indiana POAC has had a great start to the season so far. At our May show we had a wonderful pizza dinner sponsored by Ken and Kay Tearman and lots of yummy side dishes provided by club members. The youth also surprised the mothers with flowers in personalized colored cups. It was a lot of fun and the moms really enjoyed their pre-mother’s day gift. At our June show the Zahm family grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for the club and we enjoyed a wonderful cookout together as a POA family. The youth club also got a special Father’s Day cake to celebrate our Dads and played a few fun games together as well. Our next show is August 23-24 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana. There will be a hog roast sponsored by the Wolfe family and also lots of fun games to play. Stay tuned for more details about those as we get closer to the show. We hope to see everyone there - - you won’t want to miss out! With love, Sable Tearman, IN POAC Youth President
