The Verplank Family

Greetings to our POA friends,

As this issue comes out, we will all be returning home from the International. Hopefully, all the exibitors had a great show. We love catching up with all of our friends. Hannah and Emma both look forward to that week all year!

Emma started riding in 2001- and she's never looked back! We
soon bought KS Crimson Tiger Two for her to show. Tiger taught Emma a lot about riding. However, we soon decided to purchase another horse for her that was better suited for a young rider. Megan Vanderslice was put in charge of finding us the perfect one. Little did we know she would find the best pony in the world! Megan and her sweet husband Mike drove to Illinois to pick up Tate. None of us had seen him in person so it was quite a leap of faith. Tom Walmsley assured Megan he was the safest horse for a young rider. He was right, Little Man Tate (AKA Little Man Safe) is the sweetest pony with a perfect personality! He has been such an awesome gift for our family!

After Emma rode for about a year, Hannah decided she wanted to ride. So off we sent Megan- she found her two great ponies KBC Nifty Kid (Kiddy) and Silvers Wee Kid (Mullet). Hannah will be showing both at the International. We will be offering Silvers Wee Kid for sale at the International this year. He is a great pony for any 8 and under or 9-12 rider. He is so consistent and a very hard worker. Thanks to the Richardson family for allowing us to buy JN Gold Image. He is such a great pony for Emma and she is looking forward to her second International with him.

I would like to give a special thanks to Megan. You are an amazing trainer but, most of all, a great friend. You are the only person I know who considers the horse show a vacation! We are so lucky to have so many great families in our barn. Thanks to Gentry Cherry for showing Tate last year- you did a great job! Thanks Molly for always being willing to park my trailer! Skipper your the best but Ken we have missed you lately!  Parris, thank you for setting such a great example for the little girls. Terri and Jamie, we have had a great time getting to know you guys! Jamie and Olivia you have both worked so hard. Last but not least, thanks to Mike, Megan couldn't do it without you! You are such a great guy! See y'all in St. Louis!

Love,
