Frankly Impulsive
Frankly Impulsive (Frank) is a 2004 54” black
and white fewspot … He is sired by First Impulse. First
Impulse is the only POA stallion out of the great A Sudden
Impulse (AQHA congress champion). Franks dam is
The Amazing Dream, and she is sired by Campbells Dreamcatcher
. First Impulse is a futurity winning stallion
that is now producing futurity winning foals, and riders,
and Dreamcatcher is a supreme champion. We think
we have something special! At 54” and a fewspot
Frank could easily be crossed on most POA mares as well
as small quarter and app mares! Color and movement are
assured!
It’s with careful planning that we present some of Franks first foals…He
was purchased @ 3 months of age from Leo and Leeann Haack of Iowa. As a yearling
he was shown some and usually placed well, earning some of his grand’s
and reserves. He was not shown under saddle as a 2yr old because we decided to
start his breeding career. However, he is broke to ride and he’s
a smooth moving dream. As a two year old we only bred
a few mares and also collected AI.
The spring of 07’ we spent many restless nights waiting for his first foals.
His first 6 foals were, a chestnut blanketed colt, a buckskin few spot
colt, a bay blanketed colt, a sorrel few spot filly, a bay leopard filly, and
a sorrel leopard filly. As you can see color decorated every package and we couldn’t
have been more pleased with the willing temperament of
each foal.
As planned several of “Franks’ kids” were shown in 07’.
We always received compliments on how quiet and workable the babies were. The
babies that were shown endured the entire “program”, they were weaned,
body shaved, trimmed, showered, shaved etc. We
never twitched, or manhandled any of them. I think this
shows how truly workable these babies are!
We have been
asked many times about breeding outside mares, and in
2008 we will book a limited number of mares. We have
no desire to “reinvent” the
wheel or breed large numbers of mares. We’re looking to breed a few good
mares to one great stud. If your looking for a beautifully colored package with
